Moulins Communauté docks at the port of Sète
A partnership agreement has been signed between the Regional Public Establishment for the Southern French Port of Sète and Moulins Communauté placing the multi-modal logistics platform LOGIPARC 03 on a European scale. The interest shown by the establishment in our project proves that the economic dynamism of our agglomeration can attract major investors.

Can you present Sète Port to us in a few words?
Arnaud Rieutort : Sète Port, Southern France is the second commercial French deep water port on the Mediterranean coast. It possesses modern efficient infrastructures. A first class multi-modal connection network (road, canal, train) and has the advantage of support from a qualified logistics workforce and know-how recognized by local operators (handlers, forwarding agents, customs...).
Why did Sète Port wish to enter into a partnership with LOGIPARC03?
Arnaud Rieutort : The establishment of Sète Port, Southern France needs links and partnerships with inland logistics bases. A logistics platform like that of LOGIPARC 03 is an important factor for the success of Sète Port which must imperatively develop its connections with its natural hinterland that the Massif Central center France is a part of. I remind you that the connection of the A75 to Béziers will offer us a very efficient competitive road access up to the center of France.
Together: In your opinion, what is the main advantage of Moulins Communauté ?
Arnaud Rieutort : LOGIPARC 03 is at the interconnection of pertinent road and rail networks. This provides it with the European ambition of distributing merchandise, notably containerized goods in Europe. This partnership confirms the importance of interior dry-water ports linked to martime ports.
The RCEA will become a dual carriageway!
On 28th June, Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizot, Minster for Ecology representing the French state announced the transformation of a 160 km stretch of the RCEA into a dual carriageway between Montmarault in the Allier and Mâcon/Chalon-Sur-Saône (Saône-Et-Loire).
The state has chosen to use a private statutory undertaker to transform the RCEA into a dual carriageway by 2017. A choice of efficency.
The Bourbonnais economy is smiling again. Mr Jean-Michel Chavarochette, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moulins-Vichy has even spoken of it as the most important event in the last 50 years.
The laboured transformation of the RCEA and RN7 into dual carriageways has long held back the economic interests of the Bourbonnais region. This new construction work will provide a new economic driving force and contribute to the development of the Allier territory which is certainly at a historical turning point. LOGIPARC 03 located only 3km from the RCEA, will be accessed by a direct slip road.

LOGIPARC 03 AT THE SIMI
From 30th November to 2nd December 2011, Moulins Communauté will be present at the SIMI – the Industrial Building Real Estate Trade Fair, at the Palais des Congrès, in Paris.
The SIMI, which is the main event at the end of the year for the company real estate business in France, attracts around 20 000 professionals and 400 exhibitors over the three days of the trade fair. All sectors of company real estate will be represented.
57% of visitors discover offers, services or exhibitors that they did not know before.
This will provide an opportunity for Moulins Communauté to promote for the third consecutive year, LOGIPAC 03 to this sector’s main professionals: 43% of visitors are prescribers or advisors.

LOGIPARC 03: work to begin soon…
The approval of the construction file for LOGIPARC 03, 30th September 2011, signals the end of administrative procedures. Now for the construction phase which will begin in January 2012. At the same time, the commercialization phase can begin for the plots of land.
Our contacts with Germany have intensified
Last March, the economic development team visited Frankfort where it was able to meet numerous professionals in logistics and economic life.
Just as successful was its visit at the beginning of October to Wilhelmshaven with its deep water port. This military, petrol and gas port is now also spreading its activity to container ships. With a draught of 18 meters it is one of only two deep water ports in the north range capable of welcoming the new 18 000 TEU ships.
According to maritime indicators of the Unicrédit bank: « 77% of ship owners asked estimate that the very large ships will wish to unload their merchandise on the quays of the future port in Lower Saxony».
Our emissaries, including Pierre-André Périssol, President of Moulins Communauté, have built close and lasting ties with the companies of the Wilelmshave Port Union and visited the new container platform. This second meeting organized at the initiative of HBG GMBH, is the proof of the growing interest of these companies for LOGIPARC 03.
